Childhood:Early life:
Over twenty years ago, a miqo'te was born deep in the Black Shroud. Vifi'ir Navu, a healthy and curious child, sixth son of the Navu family. Youngest of them all, as the parents had hoped for a girl. They stopped trying, defeated, with no heir to the family name. Despite that they raised the boys the best they could, eventually forgetting their dreams for a girl child.
The Navu's were a unusually large hunting family, with both mother and father present. They didn't live with any other families, but they didn't bother other groups, and so they were left alone as well.Vifi'ir was a wild child, looking up to his big brothers, mimicking them like any younger sibling would. They taught him all kinds of things, about the creatures lurking around, for example. The forest around was dangerous, they said, telling the young one to never leave the house alone.Despite that Vifi'ir was very curious, one evening sneaking out when no-one was looking. Soon he encountered a lone watchwolf. Just as the beastkin was about to attack, oldest of the Navu siblings, Vifi'a, only 11 at the time, hurried over, having noticed his little brother's absence. He shoved Vifi'ir aside, bravely protecting the younger one. The young boy fought the wolf, but in the end it was a losing battle. During his final moments he told the younger one to hurry home.
And Vifi did. He ran, as fast as his little legs could. Very soon after, the older ones hurried to the scene, meaning to help the brave miqo'te. But it was too late. He was gone. Thankfully, Vifi'ir was too young to remember these events, but it left a scar in the older ones.
Following the events it was determined that the youngest was just too eager to see the world. It was decided that he would be taught the basics of lancery, despite his early age. Just so if and when the child wanders off again, he won't be completely helpless.Age 7-18:
At around eight years old, Vifi'ir was quite skillfull at the art of lancery. He had grown to love fighting and would often quarrel with with the wildlife around.
As he got older, his curiousity never seemed to vanish, not having the interest in learning to read or write, Vifi'ir would rather spend his time outside. Because of this, he never learned how to read properly, and only learned to write his own name as an adultVifi'ir even got in trouble with the Wood Wailers, sometimes sneaking into the citystate of Gridania, and pulling pranks on the guards. This resulted in him being banned from the city. The ban was lifted only after Vifi'ir joined the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.At ten years old, while doing his usual exploring, Vifi'ir encountered a pink-haired miqo'te girl, the girl was being attacked by an Ochu. With his lance Vifi'ir slayed the usually harmless creature, saving the girl. That girl was Tyo Tayuun, a Gridanian, who had stumpled outside of the city gates alone. Those two became close friends, their dynamic resembling that of siblings.

Pre-ARR:After The Seventh Umbral Calamity, The now grown Vifi'ir left his family to explore Eorzea at a wider range. He wanted to see the world before the Garlean Empire would take over. His family understood this well, having grown used to his evergrowing curiousity. If Garleans would succeed at taking over the continent, he promised to return home, to stay with his family for his last moments.Vifi'ir explored on his own, lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it, doing odd jobs here and there to earn gil, mostly hunting food for those in need or warding off dangerous creatures. The word of the helpful adventurer slowly spread from person to person, eventually to the ears of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. It took some time, but finally Vifi'ir stumbled to the path of Yda and Papalymo, who soon found out of the adventurers weird "deja vu's" and invited him to their headquarters.

Relationships:
Only the canon FFXIV timeline. Check AU's for other versions. Don't want to confuse.
G'raha Tia:Vifi met G'raha Tia early during his adventures, during the investigations regarding the Crystal Tower. The investigations took around six months and the two miqo'tes grew close during that time. There were no labels for their relationship but it was clear they both had feelings for one another. Before they could make their relationship official, G'raha voluntiered to stay in the Crystal Tower. And so the two fell apart, their love slowly fading to the side as other duties took over. Alas, it was just a summer fling between two young people, they both thought. When Vifi was summoned to the First, upon meeting the Crystal Exarch, he immediately felt something familiar about the cloaked man. The two got closer and the Exarch's guard slipped sometimes, nearly revealing his identity to the adventurer. When the Exarch's identity was finally revealed to him, they grew more and more close, finally making their relationship official. Relieved that the other still felt the same after all this time. When Vifi came out to G'raha, although surprised, he took it well and their relationship has stayed the same. G'raha takes Vifi's identity very seriously and doesn't want to make her uncomfortable. Rumors say that the miqo'te has stayed overtime at the library countless times, researching something on his own, unrelated to their current research subject.Anytime Vifi has spare time or is taking a break from adventuring, she likes to return to Old Sharlayan, staying over at G'raha's place. Despite all Old Sharlayan's rules, that is the best vacation what Vifi could ask for, since she can fall asleep next to her love.Lily (Eos):During her adventures, Vifi met a small fae, Lily, who seemed to grow attached to the miqo'te.
The bond between the two grew strong and through Lily Vifi got caught responsible for healing magicks. She doesn't seem to mind, as long as she can fight, Lily can keep the party alive.
Nowadays she continues traveling the world, with her ever-changing group of companions, Lily always by her side.(Lily does most if not all healing as Vifi is not interested in that, only wanting to fight.
Not to mention her lack of skill of reading the spells from her book.
Vifi has Lily in every healing job, so not limited to Scholar.)

What if The Crystal Exarch never managed to summon the Warrior of Light to the First?
AKA no SHB. AKA "Bad ending".
As the Scions fall unconscious one by one around Vifi'ir, he is left to face off Zenos yae Galvus alone in The Ghimlyt Dark. Vifi'ir stays confident, sure that he will defeat the Garlean prince, he did that once before after all. But things don't go as planned, something goes very wrong during the fight and the Warrior of Light disappears. The city-state leaders are left in confusion.Vifi'ir is brought back to Garlemald, where he is kept prisoner. His mind is slowly corrupted into thinking that Garlemald's beliefs are right and the other's are wrong. Finally he is wed to none other than the crown prince, Zenos. Now he's stuck there even if he comes to his senses.Even like this, Vifi'ir is a fighter worth their previous title and is frequently taken to the field. During one such case to the city-state leaders it is revealed what happened to their champion. With the scions gone too, fighting off Garlemald seems less and less likely.Vifi'ir stays by Zenos' side, fully thinking he's doing the right thing, all the way until the releasing of Zodiark, and ultimately causing the Final Days.

Zenos somehow lives and gets back from the edge of the UniverseThe previous heir of Garlemald, now lost of purpose after the fullfilling fight with the Warrior of Light, somehow returns to the Source, maybe with the help of Meteion? At some point The now wandering Garlean stumbles on the same path as an adventurer, eerily similar to the Warrior of Light, his friend. The adventurer seems surprised by the sight of him, a feral glint in those familiar black eyes. Oh yes, it is his friend.Later that night they fight at a nearby field once more, both enjoying the moment just like before. And thus they make a deal, Zenos would accompany Vifi on her adventures, lending a hand in whatever she needs, and in return they would duel anytime he pleased. This way Vifi could also keep an eye on him, making sure he's not causing chaos.(Vifi and G'raha are also together in this AU. G'raha and Zenos both only have eyes for Vifi and are mostly indifferent towards each other, only tolerating the other to keep her happy.)
